Hunting Safety Tips
The below message was sent to me from a widow of a hunter and inspired me to include this page on safety. Friends, we are all typically safe people, heck that's why you're reading this page, but don't ever let your gaurd down and do something that you know is "dumb". You're not the only one that pays the price. Read story below from Judy.

Two years ago at the age of 33, I became a widow. My sons at that time were 5 years and 18 months. I had been married for nine years to a man who was an avid hunter and safety freak. But one day, for whatever reason, he decided to transport his hunting rifle behind the seat of his truck. It was loaded, safety off and out of its usual hard carrying case he stored it in. The detectives say that when he grabbed the barrel to remove the gun, a coat hanger got stuck in the trigger. The gun when off shooting him thru his heart. They say he died instantly. He died on the driveway of his mother's home. She found him hours later after returning home from work. He knew better, but made three stupid mistakes. Even if the link saves one life, it's well worth the time. I'm certainly not against guns or hunting. But just want everyone to be safe, not only for themselves. But also for their loved ones. By the way, my husband's 15 pt buck is still on the wall of the house. Thanks, take care.
